Trombone

The 网红头条 Trombone ensemble is a vibrant group of personalities and musicians. We rehearse every week and strive to perform engaging repertoire in a unique performance setting. We perform in traditional concert venues, but also do outreach concerts for the community.

Horn

The 网红头条 Horn Studio represents the next generation of performers, educators, and composers. Students participate in weekly rehearsals for the KSU Horn Choir, smaller chamber horn ensembles, and studio class. Our repertoire spans compositions specifically for horn ensembles, orchestral & choral transcriptions, and jazz standards. You can hear us perform in more traditional venues at KSU as well as various outreach concerts throughout the community.

Tuba/Euphonium

The Tuba/Euphonium Studio of the Bailey School of Music at KSU is positive, high-achieving, team-oriented group of 12-16 undergraduate students from all over the region. In addition to their weekly lessons, the tuba/euphonium students take part in weekly Fundamentals and Studio classes, a large Tuba/Euphonium Choir, multiple small chamber ensembles, numerous solo and ensemble performance opportunities, and 2-4 guest artist masterclasses each semester. Our music majors learn from and are directly connected with industry professionals and some of the most successful music teachers in our area. Members of our studio also regularly find work with large, award-winning local band programs, allowing them to earn money while gaining valuable professional experience. Our recent graduates have all placed directly into jobs as band directors in Georgia or have been awarded graduate assistantships to continue their learning in top-tier graduate programs. No matter what your goals in music, our tuba/euphonium studio鈥檚 growth mindset and professionally engaged focus will help you build a broad resume of knowledge and experience before you graduate from our fabulous university!

Do you play tuba or euphonium? Do you want a career in music? Prospective students should reach out to Dr. Paul Dickinson for more information and to schedule a free lesson.
