The ISSSO is a team of knowledgeable advisors trained in F and J visa regulations and dedicated to supporting our international population. We are here to advise you regarding visa matters and also to lend support in other areas so that you can thrive while at KSU. We are available for advising and assistance in a variety of ways.   • We are continuing to offer virtual appointments from 9am-4pm as a convenient option for students and international faculty and staff. No need to worry about traffic when you want to meet with an advisor, just click on the appointment link below to set up an appointment.

  • We now offer in-person appointments on both KSU campuses from 9am-4pm. Students and international faculty and staff can schedule an in-person appointment below.

  • If you are experiencing an immigration emergency outside of normal business hours, please call the KSU Department of Public Safety at +1-470-578-6666 and tell them that you need to speak to an ISSSO staff member. You will be redirected to an ISSS advisor for assistance.

    Emergencies include:

    • Detention at secondary inspection at an airport and/or a request from a Customs and Border Protection agent to speak with an ISSS staff member to make a decision about whether or not a student or scholar may enter the U.S.
    • The hospitalization or death of a student or scholar
    • The arrest of a student or scholar

    Emergencies do not include:

    • Registration and payment deadlines
    • Inquiries about the status of an I-20 request
    • Questions about the check-in process
    • Requests to transfer a SEVIS record to another college or university
