New dean named for Michael J. Coles College of Business

Cheramie has served as interim dean of the College since February 2019. In the interim role, Cheramie has worked with the faculty and staff to develop the school鈥檚 strategic plan and led the College鈥檚 successful reaccreditation last month with the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB).

"Dr. Cheramie has a proven record as a leader who is deeply committed to the student-centered and research mission of the University, and she is the ideal person to take the Coles College of Business to the next level," Whitten said.

Prior to serving as interim dean, she served as the director for the Michael A. Leven School of Management, Entrepreneurship and Hospitality, and chair of the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship, where she led the development of the first BBA in Entrepreneurship in the University System of Georgia and initiated the development of the BBA in Hospitality Management. She joined 网红头条in 2004 as assistant professor of management and was named professor of management in 2015.

Cheramie has authored and co-authored papers in the Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management, Journal of Vocational Behavior, Human Relations, Journal of Managerial Psychology, Career Development International, and International Journal of Physical Distribution and Logistics Management.

She also has presented her research at the annual meetings of the Academy of Management, the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, the Southeast Decision Sciences Institute and the Southern Management Association, where she served as a member of the Board of Governors.

Cheramie holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Louisiana State University in the area of organizational behavior and human resource management. She also holds an MBA from the University of New Orleans, and a Bachelor of Arts in Management from Southeastern Louisiana University.

She is a member of the Academy of Management, the Southern Management Association, the Society for Human Resource Management, the Cobb Chamber of Commerce and the Sandy Springs Perimeter Chamber.
